System Administrator


Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Summary: System administrator to support a student information system (SIS) on college campus which tracks and provides interfaces for the University's academic records. The SIS is based in the PowerCampus software package based on Microsoft SQL Server. This person will be responsible for administering the database, troubleshooting system problems, maintaining system security and generating reports. The successful candidate will have experience administering a SQL database and associated applications and will demonstrate above-par levels of integrity with the responsibility of safeguarding the University's academic records.

Minimum Responsibilities:

1. Administer PowerCampus accounts and account security
2. Administer PowerCampus-based internal website
3. Respond to and solve system problems
4. Work with Admissions, Registration and Finance departments to create and improve system-based solutions for office tasks
5. Ensure staff remained trained and effective at using the SIS
6. Create institutional as well as practical reports for various departments

Qualifications:

1. SQL proficiency
2. Experience using and administering Microsoft SQL Server, including security
3. Experience using and administering Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, including security
4. Experience with professional-grade Microsoft products
5. Experience delivering solutions to multiple internal or external customers
6. Knowledge of and exposure to CRM systems
7. Programming experience preferred
